3 to eleven times a day!

I am enlightened several times a day,
people show me the beauty around me,
the complexity and intricacy that surrounds us,
how we are all connected,
I keep the feeling as long as I can, It goes away?
No, its always there , I just don't always recognise it

HOW TO SURVIVE THE FAMINE OF 2010
This is a bleak time for humanity, so I have been reluctant to write about it. If you want to survive this awful time, start stock piling dried goods, non perishable stuff, learning to make your own alcohol, learn krav maga, and learn to garden. MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY learn to love your neighbors. Take care of them and they will do the same. We can all help eachother. Ingenuity becomes paramount. Heirloom SEEDS become worth fifty times their weight in gold. By the way if you are a vegetarian, store lots of beans. Or learn to eat neighborhood squirrels like everyone else. Interestingly enough, that's why they were brought to this country, for consumption. Yep just like the dandelion.

Have to hand it to the midwest, you make great art
I was just listening to Bee thousand by Guided by Voices (love that name) and I really have to hand it to Rob Pollard and his band . I really love Guided by Voices. It was about a year ago they did there last show. Sad to see them go but life goes on.
The midwest has made so many greats. Plus if you count all of the midwesterners that abandon home for coastal sucess, well then do you count them? I do not know. But I count myself lucky to have seen Guided by Voices when I did and to have been introduced to Husker Du when I was and to have been included in the Spit and a half catolog and have been on John P's mailing list. King cat comics are an inspiration. Truly great. And John never gave up his craft. even after the internet came in and screwed up zines. It really was different before the internet. You had to care at least a little to make a zine. Trust me, it is much more a labor of love than a blog. It has staples for godsakes!

Happy New Year
I was at the Chinese new year celebration in ohmaha (which is where Santa fe was...never mind it will make sense in 2037) and got back in time for a new years day snow shoe outing. Fantastic! I love the sense of renewal and fresh beginings. Its funny, as we are reallly just going in circles (ok, Elipses) around the sun. It is said there is nothing new under the sun, but really, there is not really any under in relation to the sun anyway. So Happy New Year and have a nice trip around the sun!
